Didn't see a single OTB or near miss on the Pick up Sticks section and it looked like there was lots of room to get front wheel / back wheel out of sync there. Those pros have serious skills, they're not just lean XC greyhounds. The men and women.

Also think an improvement for a next time would be some more grandstand platforms at the main features, even if only 2 or 3 steps high.

Saw one this afternoon, looked painful as hell and dust everwhere!! Kudos to the riders on Saturday for navigating down safely.

And who queues for anything from Spur??? I couldn't even eat the free burger at W2W a few years ago? There was a magnificent food trailer selling pulled pork rolls, with no queue at all, for those brave enough to go out of their comfort zone.... My mates really enjoyed it, while I dined on my gourmet panini from Giovanni's...

I went for the trailer with the Chinese chow. Queue was short, but each order took longer.

Your thoughts, Nick?

Crowd attendance rocked.

Facilities rocked.

Public safety rocked.

Distance to airport rocked.

Course was stunning and beautiful.

My due diligence done.

Mmm i watched both races on Red Bull TV and i was thinking that the spectators were a bit short staffed.

Compared to the euro races, the crowd looked a bit thin on the ground

Wow, they sure were shredding it - that's for sure - those trails are in a sorry state right now. Hopefully the rains later this week will make things a little better.

The place was packed.. there were more people there than the SA Super Rugby teams get to their home games!
