Modderfontein Bike Park - what's happening

Have you lost your mind?

Well, when I told my brother the story, he said: “shoot the f*****”.

So, radically stupid as that idea is, I have been cogitating over that contingency, so I thought I would just float the idea here and troll it for a bit.

As to your question, its valid. But, its a slow process. Ask again in 3 weeks?

On a more serious note. They need to keep cyclists outta there before someone does get hurt.

It's a Nature Reserve first and foremost.

Yes, isn’t that what historically happens when wild animals attack humans? Nothing to do with the humans, always the animals fault..

This is true. Your observation opens up the wider debate as to the morality of mountain biking and trail running in nature reserves.

I wonder if its the same bird.

If so, I also wonder if there is any merit in just shooting it and finished, before anyone gets hurt.

Hope you bail very hard on your next ride and go to hospital ????????????

Wow,.. Talk about karma.. sheesh...

Modderfontein used to be called a Nature Reserve

The signs and wording now just say Modderfontein Reserve

The word Nature has been deleted...

They also have removed many of the larger animals out of the reserve...

Clearly some don't know @Harryn ... he posed a question 'I wonder if there's any merit', he's not going out there with his damn shotgun at dawn to finish the avian killer from hell!

Wishing ill on others for any reason doesn't sit well with me [emoji848]

Ag, thanks Bennie. [emoji3][emoji120]

Its ok, on reflection, I deserve the flak, it was a stupid and injudicious thing to say, so I will take it like a man, and go ride my bike. Without coming down hard, or going to [emoji541]

It is a pretty dumb thing to say.

Anyway it's over.

It is not a big issue and easily resolved by moving the trail.

There was a raptor on the downhill through the trees at Lebanon which zapped me and it did not kill me

I thought it was quite cool and just avoided that section for a while

Sadly, as always in life, the poor bird probably will end up being shot anyway becasue humans are in his area...

Its how we are....We always come first regardless.....

I don't think so.The bird has been there for a few years.

The bird has probably become agro from all the chemicals from AEG that runs off into the river that runs through there.

That river has been some interesting colours with various amounts of foam/scum in the years that I rode there!

A little concerning...

Conjecture, your honour. The claimant is no longer resident, so therefore cant claim title.
