Could they not just run a proper fork/steerer/handlebar combo?

But you would still be sitting on a Canyon frame. 

 

I would rather ride a Bianchi Alloy Lite with quality components than buy from Canyon. Nothing beats the manufacturing history of 150 years!!! 

I don't think the UCI is banning the supertuck forever... I reckon they are just tidying thing up re risk while the pandemic plays out.

 

The less accidents there are, the less people need to touch, expose each other and deal with people in close proximity.

 

Many sports are looking at rules and making changes to limit risk at the moment, a lot with a view to return to 'normal' if the opportunity presents itself down the line.

"Mathieu won today riding an adapted Aeroad CFR that was equipped with our CP00010 cockpit," the Canyon statement read. "This setup will continue to be raced by our teams while we investigate the incident with the CP00015 and CP00018 cockpits that emerged with Mathieu’s bike at Le Samyn on Tuesday."
