Well that was interesting.

Nairo actually does have form.

Julian couldn't find the right gear. I doubt his holding that yellow to the rest day.

Teddy looking awesome and confirming 2nd in Slovenian TT champs behind Roger wasn't a fluke, serious amperage there.

whats Roger hiding under that bandage huh??

Wow Wout,....Matthieu must be tearing the wallpaper down committing the Alpecin Fenix for so long

And Richie "where's he from again Phil?" Porte still has a few more stages to survive before I add him to my fantasy team

Listening to Johan Bruyneel's Podcast on The Move this morning he feels as tough Roglic is only going to get better as the tour goes on, and that the interview he watched with Bernal afterwards apparently he seemed a little 'off' -  his commentary after the stages is pretty insightful and worth a listen!

Wout got onto the front and in an amazing display of high tempo watt smashing riding for a good few kms he prevents any sort of attack, then gets out the saddle and gives one last massive effort, pulls off and leaves it to ex world champ Ineos pole(sorry can't spell his surname) and the oke just looks around like Louis Maincheese as if to say what the heck am I doing here and pulls off faster than a fat kid devours a chocolate. Then Sep Kuss decides to take charge and also crunches the numbers with 3 Ineos okes behind him holding on for dear life. Primoz decided to go and everyone else sprinted for 2nd.

Jumbo Visma are definitely the strongest team to beat at the moment.

On a side note, Bob Jungels, like Sagan, looks weird in normal kit. Who is his national road champ now? I think he still holds the TT jersey.

Sep Kuss is such a talent

Simon Gerrans is not funny.. like at all.. that was a weak joke..[emoji2356]

i thought he joined the wunch at JP Morgan in london, clearly that didn't work out.

but he remains perpeutally a cool dude for what he did for Dazza, pity we can't get the different audio feeds like they do for eng/afr/xhosa for rugby games.

At least when it comes to the cycling he knows what he is talking about. Ant is useless, his voice is really not one to be used for commentating

I really wish we could get the Eurosport commentators.. sigh

He has bought a small piece of The Service Course in Girona and is managing with some other parts in it.

Kevin Geniets of Groupama-FDJ is the current Road Champion. (Also 3rd in TT)

I am visiting family in Fisherhaven and have been watching the TdF on SS for the first time and I have to agree on the level of difference between the commentators is pretty huge. Gerrans is ok but like you I think McCrossan is terrible. The Eurosport team is just on another level entirely.

...snip...

Ineos?  mmm.., not looking that great at the moment but it is early days and I am not writing them off just yet.

It's the Landrover influence I'm telling you  :D

Its opened things up nicely for an exciting tour!

It is infuriating that we can not watch it legitimately, maybe, we do not have a choice. Perhaps someone can explain why. Is it because SS/DSTV or whatever the holding company is has exclusive rights?

Yes, DSTV has the broadcasting rights.

Last year the mtb world champs was live (and free) on Redbull.tv. I missed the one  race and wanted to watch it delayed on Redbull, as I could do with other races. But I could not, because it was geo blocked

Agree with you on the legal point. Would that we could hey.

Here's to hoping that GCN/Eurosport can break Multichoice's hold over the rights here in RSA!

The GCN thing looks compelling, and can cast to AppleTV or Chromecast... neither of which I have... bugger. Would still need a VPN to bypass the geoblocking.

Pogačar in white.

Roglic kicks in the final 100 meters like he did at Dauphiné to earn some precious bonus secs and signal strength.

What a day for the Slovenian pair.

Yates had the same game plan 2 years ago at the Giro - and her cracked in week 3.

Different rider, different tour, but I hope he does not burn all his matches too soon!!
