Ozzie NL Posted June 26, 2020 Share I'm not quite sure why you'd go there if not for work... For a mine... If you aren't there to supply the mine, you're supplying a supplier of the mine. For those that haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the sprawling metropolis of Kathu yet, below gives some scale. Blue is the entirety of the town of Kathu (including golf course), green is just the one mine that it's there for. Look, its an impressively large hole in the ground, and they dig 70% iron content iron ore out there (the actual rock looks like cast iron). mine.PNGYip, been there when lighting struck, amazing how it travels through the ore veins. TyronLab Posted June 26, 2020 Share sitting in their bakkies For anyone wanting to get into mining, this is what you'll be doing 90% of the time on site. A whoooooooooooole lot of bakkie sitting, waiting and pointing at things, and some more standing around with the sun blikseming you, waiting and pointing at things. I've been there during a rainstorm, but not during lightning. I can imagine its an unpleasant experience.

DJR Posted June 26, 2020 Share It wasn't horrible!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A610kmr09bIThat has become one of my favourite rides. Still impressed that you did it on the gravel bike. Sure you have to check your fillings for some surely would have rattled loose.
MTBeer Posted June 26, 2020 Share no where, not even to work. Have been experiencing some knee pain off the bike over the last few weeks, was mainly going up stairs that I felt it, but this week it is alot more often and its going up and down stairs, and then during yesterdays commute it was hurting on the bike, something its not done before. Since my commute takes me over a 5%avg climb that takes me around 4 minutes to climb that opportunity to take it easy is not there, so I've parked the bike for a few days to give the knee some rest.welcome to the world of over 50 ex rugby players. I don't know what it's like not to have knee pain.

Patchelicious Posted June 27, 2020 Share Nice little London Ramble. Started with some gravel through Puntey Heath then went to the Palace and back along the river. Got soaked the last hour.
