Escapee.. Posted June 30, 2020 Share Haven't been there for so long ... think I rode it not long after they opened and wasn’t overly impressed. Have I got the right place even , pta right ? Off ramp just after you come of the R21 ? Thats the one Have only been riding there since end of last year but I really enjoy it.Also helps that its only 4km from home. Plenty of climbing to do with a some fast flowing single track. Definitely not as technical as some of the blue sections at Thaba though. Will have to make a trip out there soon ????????
ChrisF Posted June 30, 2020 Share Its been a crazy period at work .... multiple projects all with 30 June as the dead line .... been working 7 days a week for what seems like an eternity .... 14:00 today I sent out the last project pack..... and got on the bike. Traverse was simply superb. Few damp spots, but mostly PERFECT .... okay, one short water crossing near the St John entrance, and then this one with a bypass .... NOTE - the start section of Traverse at Bloemendal is washed away, with lots of bricks in the cycle path ... careful .... Today was my first time heading into the Ntida loop .... Glad I was on an ebike ... There was a gent on a Scott RC - WOW !! absolute BEAST up those inclines !!! RESPECT !! Back at Bloemendal it was time for a mid-ride coffee. B-Spot started out nice, the odd "damp" spot to remind one of the recent rain, and this little gem .... Having done the Protea corridor recently I went up Bloemendal .... and then realised that Majic Forrest is still locked .... what a stunning ride.
