the local loop sometimes rides better in a different direction....only for having time....its a total saviour..legs were heavy...then hour 2 totally different.....out again tomorrow...lets hope the weather holds...the dark evenings are arriving earlier sadly...

Maritz's very first SPUR event was a wash out at Southey Vines, back in 2018.   Not that any amount of rain could keep him off the bike that day !!!

@PhilipV are you still involved with this track ?  BIG THANKS to the team for the pristene condition of the trails :clap:

 

I'm not involved anymore. There is a new crew with new ideas and new motivation. And they've added a couple of nice bits. 

I've spent a few wet hours in that puddle pictured trying to sort out the drainage  there.  Now I've got a new pet project wrt trails. But I still enjoy riding at Southeys, now just with my boy on the half-wheeler.

Hey Frosty, I rode with you guys :).  I was the one suffering the most on the Rocky ... 🙈

Edit:  That heat & corrugations did a proper number on me.

The heat was incredible, and we were lucky you guys were with us; keeping us honest. The corrugations were tolerable, at least for me.
