It's been nearly 3 years since the last visit.IMG_20230819_231709.jpg.d75cce8d8c71d48946abdb17710b9f56.jpg

Today was all about getting out on my own to clear my head and reset my focus. The green cathedral helped.

That climb is still hectic but the trail down is kind of fun because it is at least fast if nothing else. It should get a lot more interesting once it breaks up a bit. Maybe everyone take a rock up and drop it on the trail somewhere☺️

Also, Good on you for committing and going up there. Sometimes its just worth riding up something for the views. Not everything is about shredding the gnar.

The Green ’Cathedral’… I LOVE this description - brilliant! Gave me a GOOD chuckle! 👍

That climb is a lung buster for sure. It definitely exposed some weaknesses in my armour. I lie, it exposed all of them. 😁

The descent is really fast. I actually found it quite fun. Riding that line well at speed is definitely a skill. Everything doesn't have to be gnarly to be fun for sure. I wanted to go up for a second go but I was knackered by the time I finished my first lap.

I think that this particular climb and descent is a good candidate for building mad fitness. I will be back.

Chris

I needed to go find solitude to think through some personal obstacles. I felt at the time it was a very apt description. Dorstberg has always been my Achilles heel. Good place to get 'in the zone'.

Plug on the rim line .... 100 miler to get home.

I still prefer a 700C50 for our road conditions

Any recommendations ... of tyres that are available ?
