My bike took me to Thaba Trails yesterday. Thought we would explore a bit. Did 2 of the blue loops. My goodness.... After 40 min my son asks how far have we come? I say: 7km...

Well we only ended up doing 23km but with 525m climbing! Had a great time

Hahahaha

I know the feels

The ride to the reserve (32km) was chilly but nothing like Monday. Vest, normal summer shirt and a long sleeve shirt. I had 3/4 leggings on and could have left them at home. Long finger gloves.

The rest of the ride (98km) the long sleeve came off and replaced with arm warmers. Gloves off too.

Cool (pun intended) ????????????????

Yeah, Monday was quite a dip in the mercury ☃☃

Tant Miem's was filled with surprises under the blanket of autumn leaves... a couple of near spills :whistling:  and one OTB, thankfully only I picked up the scratches, not my bike  ^_^

Was hoping another person posted after L.T.G's. Awesome pics. Alas.

We ventured into a cold overcast winters morning, parked at silverstar casino, and went up.

It was cold, and it was cold.

One of our group had a sidewall cut, but the 2 very proficient males in our group managed to seal it with a couple of plugs.

Then feeling that climbing 300m in 10km is just not enough.. We set off to Kingskloof.

There, another puncture, another plug. And off we went again.

By this time, it was warming up nicely

More climbing, Nice.

Then I completely demolished the invisible wall, and my legs just had no power, I guess the aftermath of being ill during the week, and not sleeping because of a sick toddler.

So I took many a shortcut, and spent time basking in the now very weak winter sun... Like a lizard..while waiting for my riding partners.

A shitty day on the bike is still better than a good day on the couch...

Went to Van Gaalen's for the first time today.

Went hiking with my sisters. Some random dog from the farm joined us for the whole 10km green route, and we kept apologising to everyone riding about this dog that insisted on sitting in the middle of the trails - and you could see nobody believed us when we kept saying it wasn't our dog...haha

Definitely want to go back with a bike now I've seen the place.
