DJR Posted September 17, 2017 Share We were stuck at home with the Cape Town Marathon closing the roads all around us......but D & I managed to escape the runners by mtb to ride the Rhodes Memorial to Constantia Neck route.......and back via the Cork Oak Trail, Kirstenbosch single track loop, Liesbeek River and home. Dog tired but with mile wide grins on our faces. The pictures are of the meadow below Kirstenbosch. Fantastic day to be a Capie! I worked my lines and really tried to miss the bulk of the mud .... this riding the edges along the side of the track .... had the back step out a few times !! Made for a nice lively ride ... even without the mud. there were sections of the single track that had a nice rythm to it .... with a bit of speed you were constantly flicking left-right-left-right .....
