DJR Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 We were stuck at home with the Cape Town Marathon closing the roads all around us......but D & I managed to escape the runners by mtb to ride the Rhodes Memorial to Constantia Neck route.......and back via the Cork Oak Trail, Kirstenbosch single track loop, Liesbeek River and home. Mojoman Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Taking my new Momsem AL129 out in Magalies...Not a bad bike at all for its price.....and I am starting to enjoy the 29er effect....!My only gripe would be the sneaky 'tapered' looking head tube that is actually not tapered at all on the inside! I worked my lines and really tried to miss the bulk of the mud .... this riding the edges along the side of the track .... had the back step out a few times !! Made for a nice lively ride ... even without the mud. there were sections of the single track that had a nice rythm to it .... with a bit of speed you were constantly flicking left-right-left-right ..... Lots of people had minor spills .... even the sweeper on his motorcycle went down once. cleaned the bike when we got home. dirt gone, memories FOREVER Edited September 18, 2017 by ChrisF
