We rode on the N1 on saturday because I had a session I can only do on kloof/glen, on the way down we rode with the flow of cars, on the middle/right side of the left lane, so that it's not so easy for these oxygen thieves to surprise us from behind the bushes, on the way back, going under the bridge it was dodge AF, there was at least 5 guys behind the pillar/rail, and one guy that went to cross right in front of us. Same thing we just went full gas there (50kph on the way there, 43 on the way back 🥵), quite in the middle of the left lane. Not great for our reputation towards the motorists, but only way to keep relatively safe.

If I understand correctly most of those incidents are on the road on top of that bridge, leading to woodstock right ?

My wife told me the city was going to take over management of the trains network over the state, isn't there a bit of hope there ?

They’ve been asking…but cant until national gov/prasa agrees. Remember how long it took to clean the castle grounds? Wel i suspect this will take even longer, and get way worse before it gets better. National gov couldn't be bothered by a smelly dustbin in WC’s kitchen…some would say they prefer it that way. Once those fences go down proper, theres scope for a whole new suburb on that land.

I was cycling in on Sunday, I stopped on the N1 overpass because there were 3 guys by Womag. I waited a few minutes but no cars came and then from nowhere Mr X came round the corner. He had seen me and was now riding one handed with a GLOCK at the ready. He was strong as hell so no problem riding one handed.

It was fantastic, thank you

There was actually a police van parked (with 3 officers) on the embankment in question this afternoon around 5pm.

The real question is whether there'll be one tomorrow morning when I drive past again...

I got so excited this morning. From a distance, I saw multiple cars and a cop car standing stationary at the on-ramp. Unfortunately, it was due to a multi-car pile-up. I can't help but wonder if this was a consequence of a mugging.

Dumb.

Soon we'll be reading how a shooting happened at the bridge because the rider carrying was mugged by surprise

I honestly dont know what your solution is, but that aint going to solve jack

Your opinion, not necessarily the right one.

I don’t and won’t carry, but I definitely won’t cry the day one of these robbers get shot

100% agree with you. Pain will make them learn.

But, 4 or 5 against one on wheels, trying to handle a bike and a firearm. I know who will (sadly) come off second best
