The finale is going to be a hike-a-bike for anyone seeded F and back. The last few groups will have a long day out thanks to traffic jams

going to make a sign . Bike walking tickets for sale here!

This is the most frustrating situation to be in… been there and dunnit

IMO if there ever comes a next time the strategy would be to go hard and fast on the prologue and first few stages just to try get a better starting group and reduce the time lost standing / walking behind absa bankers / riders who can’t ride basic uphill single tracks

Yoh what a finish. What drama 🤣😭

That grit and determination from the saffas was unreal. So chuffed for Matt and Tristan! Again that 4min fightback on stage2 or 3 was underrated. Also enjoyed the vibes from canyon boys. That was some spectacle from the couch... Kudos!!! No DNA just RSA 🇿🇦🔥🏆

*I'll reserve my comment on the ladies race for now 🫢

I have to eat my words.

Well done Tristan, you proved me wrong. You must have eaten your fair share of cement and still came up tops.

Me, my wife and son was at the bottom of G-Spot and saw them coming through, counted the gap and knew they had it in the bag.

I hope they stay as a team for next year's race.

Pity they got stuck in traffic on Stages 1 & 2 ....

That bike has done most of the stage races the last 12 months, even age cat podiumed.

Some solid RacingTitans n your line up.

@DVille Cyclery has taken good care of Charlene through all these races and training rides.

@DVille Cyclery

@Titan Racing Bikes

27 PB's for  Charlene on the final day ...

Shout out for Alpine coaching.  Excellent result and consistant progress for a first time team.  Long 12 months of consistant training certainly showing dividends 🏆

"You can't believe only once you have achieved it, you need to believe to be able to do it".

Giant hats off and deep bow to the Specialized team of Matt and Tristan. Incredible effort from the youngster, and it finally hit him in that interview with Max. The tears flowing freely, realising he beat such a large bunch of world class riders in the most prestigious multi day stage race.

Of course, without Matt, this would not have been possible. We still nostalgically and rightly often mention Burry, but now after all that Matt has achieved, he is definitely on the same step and richly deserves the biggest plaudits and acknowledgement. 4 wins with 4 different partners is an epic achievement, topped by cajoling a real talent to the top step this time around. It cannot be understated what both have achieved and they have made South Africa so very proud.

My heart also beams with Candices' success. Finally her resilience and awesome nature have paid off. Huge congratulations to her and Darren, and of course Allesandra (amazing rider!). Clearly remember doing Joberg2c with them 2016 and just knowing that Candice has what it takes. Some things take time, but man it must taste so sweet right now.

I remember more than a decade ago (Perhaps much longer) when the elite men traversed the Prins Albert pass during an Epic stage there was not a single South African rides in the leading bunch . Every magazine lamented this.Roll forward to 2026 and we had  a number of Saffas dictating the pace on very steep clinbs.As for Matt, he is just on a next level.Congratulations to Matt and Tritan.It is fantastic to have a  South African team at the top the elites. .
