My tubeless valves have gunked up over time and a hassle to replace the valves.Walked into LBS this morning and they had these.

Just replace the inner core and they as good as new

Thanks @Jacques93!

It was quite a journey to get this bike in my size and preferred colour. I put down a deposit for one last year August, but after numerous occasions when stock was meant to come in (overseas delays), I eventually got my deposit back in Feb – decided I'd try again next year.

Then, out of the blue a few weeks ago, I happened to check specialized.com for stock and saw one in nearby to me. Went there first thing in the morning and the rest is history! 😅

Good luck with getting yours! 🤞

Brooks C17 Cambium saddle + Brooks rubber bar tape + Spank bars
Enough fiddling - time to ride!

Thanks @MORNE  👍

im pretty sure the bar tape will slightly 'fade' in the sun so it matches the absolutely perfect colour symmetry on the saddle and tyres.

looks super nice.

So after the wife bike saga and subsequent wife bike sale, I treated barney to a few upgrades.

Out with the 32 stepcast 100mm and in with the 2022 34 stepcast 120mm

Out with the ENVE carbon seatpost and in with the Lyne Contour XL 150mm dropper

Out with the non-boost black Hope Pro 4 and in with the Boost Orange Pro 4 with stealth decals to replace the mismatched white ones on my from rim (In hindsight I think red would have been better to match the trickstuff brakes).

Added a Lyne bonb holder to my cage again as well to free up some pocket space.

All in with a 150mm dropper and 120mm fork it is still under 12KG's but now I want to find a kilo to drop somewhere without changing the ride.

It’s just about perfect now - there isn’t a kilo to drop there - mine is 10.5 with no dropper, no paint and some outrageously expensive kit I had collected pre covid

to lose 500g on that bike would cost you a fortune

stem 100g

bars 110g

deraileur cage 20g

chainring and cassette 150g

Various bolts 50g

cranks 70g

you might have 300g of paint on there

and then saddle but comfort trumps weight in this area

yes I have problems but don’t judge me from your glass house 🤣

Just did 25km at Modderfontein, putting a dropper back on is the best upgrade yet, I had forgotten you could actually buy downhill talent!

I have never needed one and plan never to ride anything where I might 😆

no money or skills clinic can fix my lack of talent or fear of falling.  I really don't know why I still have a MTB.  I think because it's so over capitilised and I do occasionally ride bumpier gravel
