Wow! Quote from their team page

"As health and wellness ambassadors for 360Life, the cycling team knows what it takes to live life at peak performance. Life is little different from professional cycling: what you put in determines what you get out. ‘As worldclass cyclists, we have to maintain a balanced life to ensure that we are on top form,’ explains Kevin. ‘Not only must we maintain physical fitness, but we also need to be mentally and emotionally strong to compete well. That is why we are ecstatic to represent Nedgroup Life as a brand that has made holistic wellness a core principle of its company philosophy and product design through 360Life and the become wellness programme,’ adds Dave."

I am sure all the guys dope, be it a road cyclist or a mountain biker. Its just a question of who gets caught and who gets caught using what.

Today they can test for Drug X, tomorrow the guys are already on Drug Y that is new and unheard of.

Bad timing!

Perhaps the cycling as a professional sport should be abolished. Too much money involved now.

I don't think it's only professionals

Surely a whole process should ensue before Nedbank decides to pull the plug. I would have thought they would have waited for this to go to CSA (or whoever the governing body would be) and once they state that he has doped then they terminate the sponsorship. Just seems very premature in that we get the news from a sponsor as opposed to the governing body - maybe they think if there's smoke there's fire.

Not that I am a DG fan but surely due process should be followed when someone's livelihood is at stake.

Wonder if Kevin is accepting cv's - I'm pretty fit at the moment - not.

I don't even know why I'm disappointed in David George's positive test, it was only a matter of time.... You can only dodge so many bullets

This from Greg Minnaar's twitter feed.

Seems like this surprises no one.

Before condemning him outright I'd like to hear more info. Was it performance-enhancing drugs for that purpose, or meds taken "unwittingly". These guys know what they can / can't take, but I'd like greater clarity.

If he is guilty he needs one nut removed so he can join the ranks of other cheaters.
