This is the reason I don't ride with cycle shops outrides on road bikes........4/5 abreast on a narrow road......and then a car to follow enforcing and encouraging this type of riding.

I don't get it, they had a safety car behind them, and bunched-up so a ypu could do a single take over of all of them. Would you rather prefer them lining up in a 20m row, and then you scream past all of them at 70km/h?

You also have the time to waste by #1 taking a picture, #2 logging on the the internet and ranting about it, and finally #3 spending another coupe of hours monitoring this thread with your like minded buddies?

But YOU DONT have the time, say +-5min to wait to pass this bunch and safety sweep car?

Get a life dude.

Don,t they have the right to use the road with a car following them .The point of the car following is to give them the same room that a car would occupy .Why don,t you just chill out and rather join them .Since when do cars own the roads anyway .It can be annoying ,but so are slow traffic ,trucks ,pedestrians ,old folk,s .It is not the cyclists but drivers like you that make cycling unsafe .It is a sunday morning afterall .Give people space to live ! And no ! I am not a club member

I also just can't help my self commenting on your stupid choice of "topic" for this post...

"cyclist are hated"

There are too many idiots in this world thinking they have the right to "hate" things.

This type of mentality is usually displayed by racists, sexists, religious nut-cases, etc etc etc etc.

A cyclist is entitled to roll and for other road users to pass when safely so, by law

By rolling side-by-side they are transgressing the law for sure.

Then again, with the spate of deaths of cyclist being run over, sometimes victims do what they need to do to reduce the risk. There is greater safety in groups.

Understandable.
