Our intent is different. We focus outward instead of inward. Thus making you "good influencers". 👍 Motives and money aside, you two make a very real difference to many MTB riders. I have done Jonkers after watching your videos, and only because of your videos. Turns out the confusing signage and lack of signage higher up spoiled the ride for me, but that is due to the facility's maintenance. So often we see questions posted of "I am visiting the area, which trails do you recommend?" Your videos allows people to see the trails and figure out which suits their unique level of experience and their appetite for risk. W&M keep up the GOOD work 👍 Zebra, Warren Melissa Go Riding, gerriemtb and 1 other 4
Shebeen Posted April 20 Posted April 20 okee dokee, we're going down this road. If one has an opinion and it is respected then anything they say can be considered to be influential. but the term "influencer" in social media context is anyone who has an online platform and is supported by companies that get promoted on this platform. It can be free merch, actual $$$ or just a way to be associated and then increase the reach. obviously one can be both. 5 hours ago, Warren Melissa Go Riding said: I suppose we dont see ourselves as influencers, as generally those people do what they do for personal benefit, well at least in our eyes. That is not a bad thing, if you identified as this your main employment then it's really hard to keep it balanced and fair. On 4/17/2026 at 7:10 PM, DieselnDust said: Can’t be half pregnant bru. You attempt to influence purchase decisions through content. = I ..n..f…l…u…e…n..c…e…r 🍻 ok, thanks for spelling it out. But if you really consider me as a "social media influencer" I'm really not doing it well. but you do make a good point, my wife might stop moaning about me buying all these fancy pricey beers if I told her that I'm an influencer and it's for my followers. Will try that. SilverRider, DieselnDust and ChrisF 1 2

Said person wasn't part of the whole saga, just was a mate of one of the okes and supporting with a cheer zone but apparently came under some scrutiny because he was in some of the images posted. Understandably upset but also the reaction was OTT and detracted from the real issue at hand, one of his mates even physically threatened RM on Insta. Subsequently deleting the post. Lots of politics between the lines. Runners, perpetually grumpy I tell you! (comic sans) Anyway, removing the noise and BS. Good things still happen to good people. The lady who lost out, a single mom and teacher running as an amateur club runner for Jeppe. Was contacted and signed onto Nedbank Running. Having your "members" remove the timing chip/doctor bibs etc definitely gets the authorities frothing! Probably time for them to actually engage, they do cool things for the sport.
