this FB post.

I just dunno, he doesn't deny the ABP test confirming anything, just said it is vague. Not even a lance style "I did not dope".

But he did explain it in a press release back in 2016 (whether you choose to believe that or not is something else) so no need to rehash it now? His explanation of the treatments he received made sense to me back then, the obvious issue was that he should have stopped competing while receiving those treatments.

That was a nice post he made - must say it really makes you think about all this.

He was always a nice guy, pretty much a model pro from my experiences, and much of that I guess was why the whole doping fall was such a hard hit to take for us fans.

Also knowing that my company alone had paid him hundreds of thousands in prize money he maybe didn't deserve... we also put him on the cover of Ride Mag a couple times to boost his career and give his sponsors coverage. It leaves a pretty sour taste in the mouth.

It's hard to make sense of the whole story, and to work out where the truth in it all lies... was it just a cocaine positive? Was it just a blood transfusion he needed to save his life? Had he just been doping all along and it finally caught up with him? The truth is, very few people actually know for sure.

David George's doping positive in the lead up to all this also ensured that public sentiment was always going to be negative and pretty harsh... the fall was hard. Many of his other team mates have also been caught since - it does not look good, and while I want to believe, I also find it hard too. I think the sports history entitles me to as much

There is a part of me that want's dopers to rot in hell - I've honestly had enough of it in my 20 yrs in the cycling industry... but part of me also knows full well that they are just ordinary people at the end of the day trying to make their own way in this world. We do all make mistakes, some bigger than others of course... the real challenge always seems to be finding the truth at the end of the day and drawing a line under it all.

I view racing largely with a pinch of salt these days... far cry from my earlier days obsessing over it all. Doping positives don't really surprise or upset me anymore... they're just par for the course - that's probably the saddest part.

I wish Kevin well on a personal note, but I'm also not sure I'll ever forgive him and the many others for stealing that passion from me. But maybe in hindsight, all they ever stole was an illusion.

Til next time

The last line kind of encapsulates my feelings as well. I was struggling to understand all of this when i saw the FB post and get in to his mindset - you put it very well.

Talking about Lance. Anyone seen his Insta postings of family holiday in Bahama's?

The bully games between him and Chad tell a story!!!

Two clicks of my life wasted..

It tells a story that both are still very desperate to be relevant.

Don't know who Chad is either other than that he clearly is a bit of a twat.

Not Lance's biggest fan but do enjoy his podcast series with Hincapie. The boys do understand the game well and provide lekker insights

Yes they do have insights to cycling..unfortunately more often than not their podcast episode end up with lines like "back in the day when we were racing"...honestly I don't care about their back in the day racing.... it irritates the hell out of me when they start speaking of their good old days Edited by Gen

I felt the same listning to the Epic broad with Robbie using the words "when you race on the road"...or " in road racing ....."

The Epic is NOT a road race

No he didn’t, never got one from Kevin’s sponsor who was behind the whole Emma thing either.

So KE denies the "rumour" and Mr sponser gets Emma to send letter and now when everything is out in the open they all forgot about the "de-lies" and agression towards Fand...

You absolutely sure about that.....?

Anyway the comparison is interesting and Robbie made it very entertaining and enlightening at the same time. I quite enjoyed listening to the live streaming broadcast everyday.
