ByronH Posted December 8, 2017 Share So what you all say? I know the fashionista's say saddle bags on MTB's are uncool, but on a road bike?
'Dale Posted December 8, 2017 Share No. Professional cyclists use them. That's their job though. Doing 6 hr rides x 5 a week demands are different. AdamA and Patchelicious
Cippo Posted December 8, 2017 Share I threw my saddle bag away in the 90's. Pocpac in my jersey or spares bag in my spare cage on short rides. Just as I was coaxing my friend away from a saddle bag he goes and buys a top tube bag. Iwan Kemp Posted December 8, 2017 Share Do what floats your boat and works best for you. There is a trend away from saddlebags to under saddle straps. Like THESE from FARR or THESE and THESE from Specialized. Seriously though, do what suits your need and taste. Fox3 Posted December 8, 2017 Share Saddle bags are cool, they should go on your road bike, XC bike, gravel bike, enduro bike and especially on your DH bike! Its like a fanny pack (moonbag)...those things are the business, everything you want in one easy holder right there on your waist!!! Top tube bag FTW!

Patchelicious Posted December 8, 2017 Share This attempt at a Friday thread is lamer than the saddlebags themselves. Pure Savage, Cippo, Pusher and 2 others
Vetplant Posted December 8, 2017 Share Top Tube bag and Saddle Bag on my fancy smanshy road bike. Minimum amount of stuff in my shirt pockets. It is much more convenient than feeling like a pack-horse. And regarding the fashionistas, like the song goes:I. DONT. CARE! Duane_Bosch Posted December 8, 2017 Share Met a couple riding up grappa with little backpacks on. A Bianchi with a packpack??? WTF? Not cool I thought. Until we got to the top and they put on the contents of their backpacks. Thermal gloves, long leggings, thicker riding tops. We were MUCH cooler than them coming down. Freezing in fact.
