So what you all say?

I know the fashionista's say saddle bags on MTB's are uncool, but on a road bike?

I threw my saddle bag away in the 90's. Pocpac in my jersey or spares bag in my spare cage on short rides. Just as I was coaxing my friend away from a saddle bag he goes and buys a top tube bag.

When you are hardcore and ride in the cold & wet, you dont really wanna be fiddling under the elastic of your gillet for food. Top tube bag FTW!   :P

Top Tube bag and Saddle Bag on my fancy smanshy road bike. Minimum amount of stuff in my shirt pockets.

It is much more convenient than feeling like a pack-horse.

And regarding the fashionistas, like the song goes:

I. DONT. CARE!

Met a couple riding up grappa with little backpacks on. A Bianchi with a packpack??? WTF? Not cool I thought.

Until we got to the top and they put on the contents of their backpacks. Thermal gloves, long leggings, thicker riding tops.

We were MUCH cooler than them coming down. Freezing in fact.
