lol jokes aside,

i actually wonder how difficult it would be to ACTUALLY get classified in last place? you'd have to have the maths down and time the cutoffs perfectly. also be so aware of who is around you. Certainly much more difficult than just riding and coming in 100th from last place ^_^ .

We should nominate someone to try and come in last place....it must have a trophy of its own too. I nominate Nick.

I have seriously tried to come last in my start group every year. Let me tell you is is BLOODY hard work to come last on your group, let alone last place for the entire tour.

Ok, wait, it is hard work if you start in the last start group. I once took 7 hrs from O group (when they still used letters), and there were 2 people behind me!

I don't have the patience for that...

I toured the route on a BMX a number of years ago drinking beer, and generally being an ass and still went under 6 hours comfortably.

7 hours is a serious achievement. Going all in with a pair of 3s....

OK, so who is organising "Le Hub" pre-Argus get together/coffee ride on Saturday?

I normally do the expo thing on the Friday morning, but this year I will not be able to, thus it must happen on Saturday. As I'm already making the effort to cross the Boerewors curtain to the Deep South, I might as well join any planned ride.

Will it count if you do it on your second lap? I'm assuming you don't get an official result for that.

Maybe...

the blueroute u-turn fire version one.

was part of a bachelor's so i did have to wait around for groups.

involved a blowup donkey and many beerstops.

every possible bacon and egg skottel was inspected

incidentally also my fastest Argus time (not sure if it counts as a sub3 - but 2:50 is totally believable)

We should organise a prize for the last pre cutoff finisher .... a lantern rouge for the CTCT

lot of 6:59ers here.

shame there must be plenty of 7:00+ who don't get a finish (ublkess you're Js  which must be handcycle or sumfink)

I have done a few chaperoning rides with family members/friends.

One was with a nephew who thought playing first team waterpolo at school meant he was fit enough.

There was no braaing, partying, drinking, parking off along the way, just a long hard slog. We did 6:27:32 finishing 29466/31225 and it was much, much harder than the previous 3:05:08 one.
