Slightly off topic here. I have been meaning to ask this. I am new to the MTB scene and more so to the tubeless scene. What is required on a ride re tyres and punctures?

Do riders still carry pumps?

Bomb and bomb connector?

I see some mention of tubes and levers... is there a purpose for that on a tubeless MTB?

Too true!!!!!

BUT

If it wasn't for all this stuff, he could have won!!!!

Naw. my winning days are long gone. and if i want to win i go shoot my Bow. now I ride because i can, I want to, and i enjoy it. Too many people are always racing and not actually slowing down a bit to enjoy the journey. Strava hunting segments etc. I love taking someone over their first 100km the joy they have and the memories it brings. I gues we all ride for our won reasons. Yea so i carry a lot of crap with me. Makes me feel better and always a cool conversation starter. This thread case and point. My racing snake friends go out with the least amount of kit and bleed but that's them and they enjoy that.

I use an external HDD case. It holds my multi-tool, bombs, plugs, tyre levers and a whole bunch of other spares. It is rigid enough to get in and out of your jersey pocket and usually just short enough to sit below the pocket elastics, so it doesn't fall out. You can pick them up for like R100. 513NUIAr%2BPL._US500_.jpg

I'm going to give this a try. Just bought one from Takealot for R59!! Hope it works. Great idea
