Pogacar seems very strong almost on another level, reminds me of Lance.

His GC lead is 39s over Jonas, after 9 stages. He has not been able to drop Jonas yet. So I don't see the correlation you are referring to.

I actually foresee a large opportunity for Jonas to take time back on Tadej today, it really suits Jonas, IMHO.

I see exactly the opposite. Final climb more suited to Pog and he’ll at a minimum maintain gap or increase.

Where will JV (Jonas or Jumbo) launch an attack? Somewhere on Galibier? Maybe to early or at the foot of Granon? Jumbo will have to try and put UAE under pressure from early on. But we have seen that Pogi can stick it to Jumbo on his own as well.

Ideally, They would need to try and Isolate Pogacar before the start of the final HC climb.

One option: I'll allow WvA to go grab some sprint points and then himself and/or Laporte should try to get up the road with the break, to be able to pace Rog and/or Jonas on the downhill after Galibier.

Going to be epic, whatever happens. I just hope Louis can follow the right GC moves

No you didn't ... 🙊

That said, even Lance watches daily in awe judging by comments on his podcast.

More likely will attack with 800m to go.

Ja wat... sadly thats a hazard of being so good.

Not just Pog, when the Eurosport commentators mentioned something about the average speeds being one of the highest ever recorded it made me think the same thing.

Fancy shaped frames, power meters and better training, deep section wheels, bigger tyres, better nutrition, aero clothing, longer socks...the list is endless

I can hear the crowd screaming: "Technology is a wonderful thing..."

The winner will attack on the upper slopes of the Col de Telegraph.....

With 2 massive days in a row, I doubt any of the GC favourites are going to empty their tanks today.

I'm predicting a typical GC wet squib of a day with some impotent flexing. The battle of seconds gets overhyped and usually under delivers.

One thing we know, Pog loves winning bike races, so he could tear up the copy book, race for the win today and back his ability to recover to mark any attacks tomorrow.

I don't think his team is strong enough to support him too deep into the high stuff, so they will back him to mark JV and monitor any big time grabbers like Kamna yesterday.

Looking forward to some bike racing either way. Secretly hoping Nairo gets in the break, smashes everyone, gets the stage win and wears yellow tomorrow.

I've already promised @Mamil that I'd eat my Kask if that happens. And you know what? I'd be happy to do so. I'm always rooting for Nairo-man

Bike have however come a damn long way, even in just the last ten years. When I ride a bike now compared to then, it's insane.
Been fortunate to try out one two pro's bikes over the years, it's another level in how the mechs make their bikes perform to be faster. Bike will feel like **** initially. Tyre pressure, brakes, fit etc.... but soon you realise that everything starts to work properly at a certain speed and level of riding. Which is way outside the comfort zone of most riders.

Absolute nonsense......

They all use disc brakes, which rub, offer no value and are MUCH heavier. The disc brakes make them less aero too and it makes the wheels more prone to failure.

They mostly use electronic gear shifting, which is also a risk as the battery can fail, it doesn't deal with water well and isn't anywhere near as crisp as 11 year old Mechanical Campy.

The bikes are generally heavier, so are way slower.

I'm not sure where you get your information from Dino, but I get mine from Bikehub and the above is LEGIT!
