Thanks for the response 👍🏼

Yup, talking about being motor paced behind a team car. I'm suggesting that instead of it being subjectively allowed/disallowed by the commissaries instead they make a rule that states you can be motor paced by a team car back to the bunch/cars if you've required by the race Dr to undergo a concussion test or other attention.

It was allowed, then it got abused . Now you’re allowed to stay behind a car but for a limited time then you have pop out and feel the wind. But again the sticky bottle, stuck Allen key , team car engine in limp mode excuses make a regular appearance

Again, that's at the discretion of the commissaries and is clearly influenced by who the rider is and whether the TV camera is around. Look at when Ganna crashed, he was allowed virtually zero time behind the car (that we saw).

I'm saying remove the ambiguity. If you're serious about implementing better medical checks with the goal of improving rider safety, then align it with a clear rule removing the time pressure for those checks to happen.

There’s always going to be ambiguity.

there will always be outcry from fans . This is the way

Teamwork makes the dream work. 💗

Sweeney and Baudin grinds it out and Ben Healy continues to commit and ends up with the Golden Fleece. What a dream for the hardworking and chilled escape artist.

Team UAE under pressure with crashes and illness? The Bumblebees feeling quietly confident within their ranks and relief of sorts with a morale boosting stage win, it seems.

It seems to have taken two years or so for the contenders to work out how to deal with UAE and TP. Its been an exciting first half and it will be good to see how it pans out.

What are BH's chances of retaining the Yellow?

I think he will lose the jersey on Thursday or latest Friday.

Interesting tour so far. In my humble opinion Pog should be concerned about losing Almeida and the fact that Sivakov seems to be battling. I'm not convinced that Soler and Wellens will be enough to counter Kuss & Jorgensen. This is far from over.

☝️This, JVB are going to throw a multitude of attacks and I also fear that the UAE team has been weakened somewhat, Pog, can however go on the offensive and get on the front foot.

I don't think his current margin is defendable, but a good or bad day in the mountains as we know, can be telling.

Zero to nothing on Thursday

This tour I find myself thinking how impressive the talent pool is for the riders just below the Pogacar/Vingegaard level. And how unpredictable the tour would be if the two of them weren't riding.

In that scenario you'd probably have to pick Remco as the favourite, but he does seem vulnerable in the mountains. And then you'd have the likes of Jorgenson, Lipowitz, Roglic, Gall and co all much more willing to attack than they are now - because how can you drop Pogacar? I guess it's the race for 3rd place (assuming no crash/incident with Pogi and Jonas). I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think Lipowitz will be on the podium.

Also, how insanely strong is Jogenson? He's just turned 26 and has won the last 2 editions of Paris-Nice. He's got to be close to his prime now. Is he happy with a (presumably) big paycheque and getting to be the leader on some of the smaller tours?

During the rest day pretty good. Depending on how they race tomorrow, it will be gone by Thursday.

have to think that Pog might have a bad day...ok...can drop maybe 30-45secs to Vingegaard.. its about the recovery the next day...and then you head into the 3rd week...
