Where has your bike taken you today?

Francois only started riding a few months ago.  Took him on the FairCape route and then the Missing Link, both new to him.  He has done Conties before.

 

A very late start meant the heat caught us before we entered Conties ... that climb gets nasty in the heat, especially if you already have 500+m elevation in the legs ....

 

What a nice ride

Last week sunday it managed around 4h30m without issues, it did 1 1 hour ride on wednesday, would not turn on on thursday so I put it on charge, it worked Saturday for 1 hour, would not turn on again today.

Going to try charging it using a different cable and charger this week, but I'm not taking any chances for sunday so will charge up the small backup battery pack, I'll spend the time after the race troubleshooting.

Time to go retro ????

Today was the Bloemendal wine run. Apparently wine tasting over a 5km route!

I have been off the bike since my last post. 

The last week saw me overindulging in birthday festivities, thus my ride yesterday at VG with the missus was. Tough, to say the least.

 

Came upon this dead puffy, was smack bang in the middle of the trail. I moved it over to the rock on the side of the trail, so that scavengers may get it. 

By the time we hit Greek church climb, temps were well into the 30's. I was sweating the last 3 days's beer out at an alarming rate.

 

Made it to the shade of the church (it was sunday after all)

 

Then, time for recovery at Ale House.

Excellent first post! Congratulations, must have been a hot day in the saddle.
