Today, my bike took me to...the doctor's rooms

Went for a training ride and got served some humble pie on the tiniest of berms at Paul Cluver. Nothing a few stitches, antibiotics and a tetanus injection wont fix.

Luckily my riding partner had a medikit with him.

Good work Bro. If you are gonna wipe, show the marks.

I like.

That some medical kit to take along on a ride ....

I have a fair bit of stuff in the car, but you first have to make it back to the car ...  :whistling:

More importantly though ... is your bike okay ?

Nothing a good skills sesh can't fix...

Everyone falls, even the skills coach ;)

I'll even go as far as saying that if you are not falling every now and then you are not pushing your limits, and not progressing as fast as you can.

I don't know any really good riders that haven't had some ugly falls.

While I agree with that, getting your confidence back after a big crash can take some time. I'm still super nervous around tech obstacles after breaking my collarbone in Feb. Might be the combination of fear due to not wanting to put myself out of action for two months again and having switched to clipless shortly after returning to riding. Still struggling to get confident on them riding tech.

Buffelsdrift on saturday, forgot the phone in the car, so no pictures.

Yesterday, Van Gaalens. We opted to go early morning to miss the heat of the day, and the joke was on us....

Decided to take the new singletrack before going down to the gully/pofadder split, looked real easy...but fark me.

anyway, the view was kinda worth it, but my legs was swearing at me.

the rest was pretty uneventful. Felt really good on the bike, and the river singletrack was riding really nicely.
