Nice weekend of riding:

Lekker pedal with a fellow Saffa on a very very special bike:

And a gloomy day today:

Please tell us more about the bike? Close up perhaps?

What a beautiful day for a ride below the elephant - Tokai - with Beattbox.

Legend has it that long long ago a young groom wanted to show off a bit on his bachelors. He rode his fiery horse up the steps and across the stoep of the old manor house, but coming down the other side, his horse slipped and fell and the young rider was killed...............the reason the Tokai manor house is haunted and brought bad luck ever since.

I kept my distance, with the Trance, just in case, and we had a great day out   ;)

It was without doubt the hardest 20clicks I ever done....the 6 of trudging along soft sandy dirt tracks after Rebels almost overshadowed the splendour of the other 14clicks...ALMOST....spectacular trail, grand scenery....original plan was 20 out and same 20 back, com'on 40 kms can't be that bad.....gravel bike faired well, NO bike was capable of riding the 6 we walked! So here's a tip...if you see the treads marks of a tractor, time to turn back!

I semi tried to warn you but I didn’t want to rain on your parade - the beauty on a nice day makes up for the slog

Exploring the hilly lanes of Sevenoaks.

Ahhh Sevenoaks...last I was there was the gale of '87 when Sevenoaks became 1 oak....nearly lost my life living in a camper van pummelled by clay tiles!!!!

Went out for an early morning ride.  Clock moved back yesterday by one hour so we started off in the dark again.  Went down this little pass and as went around the one corner,  this sneaky, stealthy, f§$ng rock waited for me.  Hit the bugger at 47 km/h, blowing out the front tyre.  I suppose that I am typing this from home and not the hospital and could still finish my ride, albeit slow as the spare tube also seems to leak some air, I should be greatfull.

Definite shift in the weather. It’s rather crisp in the mornings now.

When I first woke up yesterday it was raining, so went back to sleep, woke up an hour later and it was no longer raining.

This morning was rather cloudy and and dark. The moon was way more visible than the sun (I just could not capture it in this pic)

Yeah, I got conned into 60km on the indoor trainer. I shoulda waited for the weather to clear.

I was expecting a rather wet ride because of wet roads, but the rain must have been very localised as the roads were pretty dry.

The wind was like a calm day in cape town, but was cross wind going out and coming back, was hard work.
