I rode past this bike on the way to Franschhoek this morning. And now that I see this pic, I suspect it was you on it.

Nice to have no/minimal headwind into die hoek for a change. In fact a perfect day out there this morning.

it's been a week since my bike (to be renamed snapper) took me to get some xrays and then to the orthopedic surgeon's office.

Broken fibula and some ligament damage.

6 weeks no weight on my foot, at least I got away without the need for a cast or a moonboot.

Follow up on the 14th to see/hear what the next steps are.

Had a very big day ( in my books) today.

Got going beofre dawn’s crack, due to the wife having an appointment at 8:30. We set of a smidgen after 6am.

Did the cradle loop, that is running mint at the moment, maintenance and repairs have been well done, which made for a very pleasant ride.

dawn’s crack long gone, but a nice sunrise.

Dropped the wife off at the car, and I set off to kill another 2 hours.

From Bidon, I rode to Cradle Moon, for a ride on the yellow.

Give Zest a try in the cradle, i’s nice and quiet, the food, is good, and the service more than adequate.

longest day for me in a while, was most enjoyable

Ai. Sorry Pal. Strongs.

But ....More strongs to Mrs Fanie. Having to put up with not able to ride you is going to be challenging for the poor woman.

Had the pleasure of seeing some of the "locals" on the side of the trails.

Had less fun riding into a group of people who walked up probably the fastest trail there. ????????‍♂️

Someone could have been badly injured and every trail is well marked so can't say they didn't know. Hopefully they learned from this.

I was there too yesterday. Saw this herd as they came down to the dam. Banhoek is great. Did you hit the gap at the bottom of Afterburn?

I hit it for the first time yesterday and my nerves were shot. I attempted it 2 times and thankfully made both, but sheez if you get it wrong...very high consequence for sure.
