I regularly drive the R45 between Paarl and Franschhoek and seldom see riders with lights. I find it crazy as many cars pull into the yellow lane to allow cars to pass. I have often not seen a cyclist with dark kit until I'm right behind them, as they blend into the trees in the side.

I actually had already put on my Geko top ... looked outside .... then opted for the bright yellow top.

 

And flashing lights all round like a mobile christmas tree ...

It’s the rivers/locks they are referring to. Also referred to as waterways or river navigation

Went out for a quick ride this afternoon. 

Sometimes it hits me out of nowhere how lucky I am to have a 15min (at max) commute (by car) home from work and then a less than 5km pedal to get into these views.

This is the xcm weapon ! I just don’t have much interest in falling off anymore and my gravel bike has just been so rewarding that this Pyga is really just an expensive parts storage unit
