Bit of fun at Augrabies during the long weekend ....

The time lapse on the GoPro was 0,5 seconds to late for the cart wheeling .... (nearly did an OTB 100m earlier myself with my front wheel digging into the soft sand)

What are these people pushing their bikes for on a perfectly rideable trail?

 

Context ....

 

They were Group C or D riders.  So nowhere near holding up any racers. There certainly was nobody behind me waiting due to this.

 

The lady was riding about 60% of these bits, getting off for the bits she was uncomfortable.  Her partner was ever patient and supportive.

 

 

I hung back, rode a section until I caught up, stopped and waited for some more gap ...

 

 

And yes, the photo "levels" the terrain nicely.  It was way steeper than the photo suggests !!  Those pebbles were LOOSE ....  then again, it cant have been all that bad, I managed to ride all of that section.  

 

 

Most importantly.  ALL riders were very aware of the other riders, pulling over to let faster riders through.
