How different can 2 rides be .... yesterday Pat Malone as I normally do on the Rat bike, just ambling along, hectic wind coming back .... today with my good mate Sam on a 'normal' bike, the pace is always a bit higher with him but not a half wheeler,  absolutely no wind whatsoever

Ever ride with someone and you just feel better for it? He's just that kind of guy, calming influence

"Men invented war so they could be among themselves. In peacetime, they have bike racing."

Finally settled on a tyre combination I like on this bike 😎

It doesn't matter if it's just a training ride, there are times you can't resist chasing riders ahead .... sometimes you catch them sometimes you don't but either way it's a good feeling 😎

One of those days when one’s up for it.  On my way back around Marine Drive I gunned for and hunted down a young couple tucked on their TT bikes.  They were a bit slow, and I may or may not have been boosted by last night’s beans and butternut and cabbage curry pot...

Stayed well ahead of them for almost 15k’s and when they passed the guy greeted and said “We thought you might be motorised.” 🤠

This old git also gave it carrots.

Lekker day out, thanks to those who helped no matter how short the distance any help was appreciated. On the second half I won't lie I was wishing someone would help but I could see I wasn't the only one having to dig deeper.

Still that smile I saw every time I looked back made he find the power to push harder. Mr Smiles aka Levi and I finished 3de of the buggies first n/a powered one. 😂
