DJR Posted September 22, 2018 Share This morning D and I did some chores by bike. Bought a battery, shoe laces, coffee, browsed at Woodstock Cycle Works, had coffee at the Waterfront. On the way home we passed this very patriotic gate......just the right background for two classic old SA made bikes. ChrisF Posted September 22, 2018 Share NICE ride at Meerendal. Me and my buddy has our typical ou-toppie pace around Meerendal ..... This time he brought a "younger" friend. Imaging two ou-toppies gasping for breath up stairway (and most other climbs) trying to keep up with a 20-year old .... Pushed our average speed up by 1,5km/h .... does not look like much on paper .... certainly enough to take one out of your comfort zone. And VERY nice to realise afterwards that there is just a bit of life left in these old legs .... time to start pushing myself and to see what my body is capable of .... and then a LEKKA cuppacino at Carlucci. No road + big rocks = lots of walking The top, from here we followed a 4x4 track straight down the mountain And we had to get over the game fence. Cleats and all The profile, check out the last bit.
