I just don't understand how a crack like that could just be cosmetic. Yes stations are shot but the crack is just an accident waiting to happen. BuffsVintageBikes 1

karma Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Before naming and shaming, what's your take on this scenario: Buyer buys wheelset from me, after negotiating price down significantly. Less than 3 months later, reselling wheels, just added new cassette, for -R5k more, and twisting the truth about mileage on tyres a bit. The Casette is not R5k BTW.

I guess it is his property now and he can sell for whatever makes him tick. My story ........ I blessed somebody with a fully functional and licenced scooter. Two weeks later he sells it for a handsome price. Needless to say - I was ticked as hell. Fact is, once you are not the owner any longer, the new owner can do with the item as they please. I used a LOT of my parts to rebuild the bike. 6 weeks later he sells the bike and buys a FS .... As you say ... his bike to do with as he pleases ..... Still, I am less likely to donate my good parts for the next help-a-buddy-project ...... Mook, Me rida my bicycle, karma and 1 other 4

Happens far too often that people cannot be bothered to respond to messages despite being online. Selling and buying on the platform is becoming an all the more tedious affair. People ask questions or for more pics only to basically ignore your replies? Or the classic, advertise something but don’t respond to valid queries. How do we address this? I’ve actually rated them accordingly in the past only to receive a snotty response thereafter. My experience is that serious buyers will call or send a whatsapp. The ones that dont even bother with manners and drop a single question message on bikehub, I dont even respond Chad Minnaar and Mook 2

But I agreed 100% that the interaction should be cordial including signing off with your actual name.

Through pure discussion and wanting to help out with a part that might not be listed in classifieds. I personally did just the other day. A forum discussion starts, someone maybe needs something they cant find..I know i have one in my parts stash somewhere, and offer it for sale to help out. That deal doesn't even go through classifieds. Just saying. Also, i’d just like to point out that here you are joining in on the k@kpraating in the forums - expressing your opinion 😁.
