soooooooooooo... there I was wondering about the arbitrary speed restrictions on my Levo.

And then if found this little gem! Fitted it this morning and got over 50km/h! Cutoff used to be 32km/h. Now the limiter is gearing and the cadence I can maintain.

You should really get yourself a proper motorbike then as speed seems to be pretty high on your needs list. I also have a Levo and the 32 kph restriction doesn’t in any way interfere with my riding. I never climb anywhere close to 32 kph and I’m on par with normal bikes when descending trails. I just get more runs in on any given ride. I also hope that you are considerate enough not to frighten or startle other cyclists should you pass them at such high speed differentials.

Actually it behaves exactly the same for the entire speed curve, except that it doesn’t stop assisting when it gets to the old upper limit.

That means that it makes zero difference on the trail, BUT is very useful when I use it around town.

I don’t, in fact, have a need for either a motorbike, nor your approval.

Enjoy your Levo.

congratulations on your new motorbike...... This was one of the things that was always said would happen with e mtbs.... Now it off interest... Can you wheel soon this modded e mtbs yet?

Yeah this is the kind of thing that will get e-mtbs banned. Not to derail the thread, but I think they should be limited for the safety of riders, other trail users and the trail itself.

In UK that bike would require a drivers license.

Not mine but I did the conversion for a friend. Went 1x (32T) and new chain.a809e3be8171463c46ecc0c17d09756a.jpg

When peddling hard, in the smallest cog, 11T, the chain sometimes slips, what could the reason be?

Worn cassette perhaps if the chain and crank blade are new?

Thanks NSBB.

New chainring and chain yes, cassette was only put on late last year but chain was worn so it could be that the 11T cog is damaged? I will have a look tomorrow. The big blade chainring on the 2x was way past change date and that I think helped in damaging the 11T cog

Good answer, it is your own business.

I would however make sure I have a very good helmet.........
