OK, maybe it is a bit rough and ready, but it will NEVER fall apart!

I couldn't believe how expensive pine got, how poor the quality and how inconsistent the dimensions. I found 1 straight piece for every 10 that I searched through!

You should try buy straight CCA treated timber.... I told the salesman I was building a shed not a consignment of archery bows but my humour went straight over him like a frisbee over a fat Labrador.

The last few months been kept busy with the biggest project I’ve ever tackled by myself. I am pretty pleased with the final outcome. The roof sheeting was done by the owner of the plot where we are renting. He’s got a steel business and his team does roofs on a regular basis. The timber I treated with Enseal and varnished with Powerseal

Finally got all the sanding done and the knife project finished. Went from 60 grit, through 80, 120, 150, 220, 400, 600, 800 to 1000. Never before did so much sanding. The ironwood gave a fantastic finish with nothing more than buffing with a bit of thin wax. I'm seriously chuffed with the end result.

Great job mr VB. If you need more pallet pine in EL give me a shout, got a great place to get it from for very cheap and very good quality.

Don't get me started on that topic. I don't call the species Pinus Crappus for nothing. And that is even before the timber merchants had their hands on it.

Mmmmmm a dedicated wine room.....

One day when I am big.....

As a side note we just took delivery of our grown up Christmas presents. One mixed case from Platform 62 in Ashton and another mixed case from Lacotte Wines in Franschoek.
