saw an add for Di2 levers (to good to be true) "like new"...collected the cash...met the person at his house...they even had packaging...lucky i opened and checked the levers...seems the fella had claimed from insurance after a small ooops...put new lever on the bike and the damaged one in the box....gave him a bad rating...a damaged part in the replacement parts packaging doesnt qualify as like new.

Misrepresentation at best, outright fraud at worst!

Needed a good dose of humour.

The right to critique an add without really been interested in purchasing the item.

All you guys are like ...... no no no, when I buy, mint is perfect and perfect is like new and new means it has never ever been ridden. But best of all your understanding of these terms gives you license to drive the price into the ground - because barely used cannot possibly mean fair and decent pricing for the seller.

BUT, by golly when you guys sell, no no no. Then hardly ridden means like new and new means top notch pricing, and recently serviced adds double the value and no negotiation at all.

It is going to be fun watching all you percfectionist buyers complain when you try be sellers and everyone else gives you a taste of their 4p's. Perfectionist Purchasing Pricing Policy.

Had some "random comments" when we tried to sell my TREK ....

Doubt those who made the comments even gave it a second thought .... but it certainly did NOT help us to sell the bike. And yes, it cost me weeks and a good few thousand rand ....

Person that sold it for me hardly ever use the Hub to sell ... because of the "random comments" ....

but hey, nice to chirp away ....

ooooops, did I take the bait

Mint condition with a Cape Epic sticker on ...

Well it could be. Vintage cars are mint condition and have significant mileage. What sets the good ones apart from the mingers is how well they've been maintained.

A 10 years old bike could do the Epic every year and be in "mint" condition.

A 20year old R5 coin can be in "mint" condition.

Mint does not imply brand new......except in the Bikehub classifieds of course
