You can tell everyone is getting touchy.... There are some classic school yard 'you're a tjop', 'No, YOU'RE a tjop' spats going on in a few threads.

If you guys keep this up no one will be going to anyone's party!

Certainly a different vibe the last two days ...

And not just on the Hub....

Some previously calm levelheaded people getting snappy ... some regulars stepping back and staying out of the mud fights ..

Hubbers calling others "morons" is a sad day !! Easy to say "Play the ball. Not the man".

O.well .... really hope sanity is restored soon ...

hahaha Some people must take a break from discussing all the conjecture.

I've seen full blow on line fistycuffs over the 'level 4' order of play, but government hasn't yet released it, so guys are literally fighting over their opinion of misinformation while knowing it's not the right documentation.....

I did some work, played with kids/animals, dis some exercise and shaped some surfboards today. I had a great day.

Yeah, on different groups I’m seeing left fighting right, fishermen slagging off cyclists, MTB riders hating on roadies etc

It’s all about identifying other groups and hating on them for whatever reason.

I can’t tell you how over it I am. There’s no need for all the hate and animosity that we see normally never mind this new level. By over it I mean that it saddens me and it leaves me drained.

It reminds me of my training in that under stress people seldom rise to the level required instead they default to a lower level.

MTB riders hate on roadies all the time, nothing new there.

Personally I think it is because they have to clean their bikes all the time which has to make them bleak.

lockdown easing soon so general mojo will improve a lot am sure.

As much as it has been crap to be in lockdown, feel greatful that have been able to see it through in relative comfort compared to many. So there is that.

Yes please! A mate of mine whilst speculating on level 4 tried to type 'can we have a cycling drink?' But it came out 'drinkling cycle'...and so was born a new activity.

I will be posting a pic of my outside ride, and of me buying some suips tomorrow, so be warned.

Also the government regulations are not the main issue here. The main issue has to be the illness and protecting oneself from it.

Whether we are allowed to go to the pub via the steakhouse after a group ride or not, is it a good thing to do?

I went to the BP for a new gas cannister and the spar for groceries and I have to say I was very relieved to get back to my safe little hidey hole such was the vibe on the streets.

I've seen a whole host of socials with guys saying 'can't wait to shred Tokai' or 'I know what I'll be doing this weekend' with a picture of trail shreddies..... Just as an indication, Tokai/Table Mountain/SANPs aren't open to the public at this point and I doubt they will be at level 4 and you definitely won't be permitted to drive to Jonkers/Red Barn/private trails to ride bikes.

So it will likely turn into people taking chances which will just land up in a cycling ban.....

I am looking forward to taking the dog for a walk and hopefully getting out the house for a short sojourn on the roadie or up the greenbelts.

I'm not optimistic that people have thought about the current pandemic situation over their obvious excitement to ride bikes again.

I think we may see a lot of that - once people realise that the end of lockdown is just the beginning of a looooong process and that starts to become a lived reality I think we may have a lot of depression and anxiety - that coupled with the massive strain on livelihoods and life in general.

Last week is was lockdown, this week was breakdown. Lots of peeps in my company (95%) women having moments on our company meetings... so it’s a general thing.
