It's disappointing when you make your best comment ever on Bike Hub and then the thread gets removed. And now I can't even go back and admire my handiwork. Sad face.

Egg - zact-lee. Me thought we were discussing not so expensive bakkies riding off road...🤔😉

How long before this thread is locked?

@Matt please don’t let BH became like other social media platforms that just cancel people/ posts because it “violates their community guidelines” (read: they don’t agree with your opinion) - I appreciate that this isn’t the case on the post deletion here since the reasons you note for removing the post make sense…I have however been actively involved in threads that have disappeared with no explanation, which only had posts which were innocuous. In my view, BH is only made cooler by the ability to converse openly 🙏🏻

So that fun thread about the new Spesh Epic has disappeared. I know I'm slow out the blocks but did Spesh lean on BH management to get it ripped?

Was wondering!

Since you asked, it was deleted by me. 😉

Yes, they called and asked politely since the material leaked is confidential. We felt it was a reasonable request.

The fact that the bike is coming and images/videos of it are not exactly a secret, but this specific info has not been made available anywhere publicly as yet.

We're always going to moderate the forums to our community guidelines. This means posts will disappear and often without explanation. Excluding spam and scams, there are very few comments being removed. It's civil around these parts nowadays.

The open platforms are horrible places that leverage intolerance, falsehoods, and abuse to drive outrage and engagement, while veiling it as free speech. Bike Hub is a bicycle hobbyist forum, not the town square.

I am firmly in the camp of hating on this new trend of trying to hide the suspension. I like the tech look of seeing the inner machinations of what makes a MTB tick. Trying to hide it is trying to turn a MTB into a road bike, i.e. something it's not.

Sies man.

I hear you, witness the mechanical beauty doing its thing. Its one reason i love the Revel Ranger. Wish I could afford one and keep its as my one bike to rule them all.

Sadly I still have a competitive heart so these spindly lean mean machines just have an appeal that harks back to Cindy Crawford in the 90's

It's just a temporary sleeve for the prototype/testing - to hide "spy shots" (which have since now emerged anyway)

exactly the same thing happened with the Trek supercaliber, people went batty when they saw this

2020 Trek Supercaliber Procaliber Tope Fuel prototype, short travel carbon World Cup cross-country XC XCO race mountain bike proto sneak peek, spy shots

only for those to be revealed on launch
