Wayne pudding Mol Posted February 3, 2019 Share I rarely do what most would call proper mountain biking - I mostly ride the endless forestry gravel roads in my back yard. Trapped in Durban for the weekend I borrowed my brother in laws bike and have spent some time at Holla trails north of Durban. Going back today. Loads of chirps and they can ride, had me on the rivet but enjoyed myself. DJR Posted February 3, 2019 Share Tokai for a very welcome very wet ride with the "old crew" riding together again. So great to have some respite from the dust and the southeaster. The only problem is that the bikes now need some serious cleaning and servicing. The only problem is that the bikes now need some serious cleaning and servicing. As I entered Bergvielt the rain started coming down. I turned around and went home. BenReaper Posted February 3, 2019 Share Woke up at 5:30 this morning with the wind howling outside and decided f@ck it.Got a message around 9am from a buddy asking if I already went out for a ride or still planning one as his keen to go riding.Think this was karma telling me I need to do something before the funride world champ's. Kobus wanted to go big or go home so we headed up to Stettyn Dam. The wind was absolutely horrible, we had a headwind for half the ride to the kloof and then halfway up the kloof the wind was back on full form from the front again.Kobus conceded early on that he didn't think he was fit enough for the ride and ended up wheel sucking for about 60% of the ride. Eventually he asked me if I could call my wife to come pick us up with the bakkie as he was totally knackered and we still had 20km's to go. Still a fun day out and even under the conditions I enjoyed it, especially having some company for the first time in a while.
