Some proper gravel road riding this morning, starting with a lekker 2.2km climp out of Groot Brakrivier. The middle picture is if the pumphouse that pumps water from Groot Brakrivier (Wolwedans dam) all the way to Petro SA, Mosselbay. 1698c00575da8cf2bc380543d0bb0e1d.jpg

A ride that started with a great sunrise and promise but fizzled out waiting for the 'team car' to come collect me ... Luckily pretty rare that I can't finish a ride under my own steam so not beating myself up about it [emoji6]ddaed52fd756788b0861eb9ba1e988d6.jpg92807a998dee840f206b44bc74b12d82.jpg

What happened, technical?

A puncture, replaced the tube then about 20k's later another puncture only to find the solution in my little kit had dried up [emoji47]

Those tyres had seen better days ... replaced them, all good at R4S today [emoji41]

Rode with Oom Thys this morning, a well known guy amongst the mountain bikers in the south for his bluetooth speaker he rides with at quite high volume. Amongst the gems he played this morning I can recall was something about a 'Boere Poppie' and 'Drie Pikkewyne'

Muddy out but not unpleasant at all!

Earlier today (my normal 23-30km route. Kleinbrak beach), at a stage I was quite angry at myself for not leaving earlier as I was up before the crack of dawn already and temps went upwards quite quickly.e42b03618758ee8e746f366430a37b68.jpgc07a0eba534c935ac93b3d31c0eb5343.jpg

This was last week Tuesday up one of our local climbs outside town.

In the past I'd never stop on the way up a climb, but now the past is in the past and I just don't have the steam anymore (yet).cc4a4f2decd07f439aacbe3326ce34d8.jpg

Edit: Skuus Bennie, daar quote ek jou in verkeerde post.
