I am sure they are, no one wants to starve or worse still see their children starve.

Most are just opportunists....its not just the snares...as mentioned fencing and poles are walking off..trees are being decimated by the truck load..isolated local lodges are being robbed of everything, including the one whose trail this is,....water infrastructure is being damaged and stolen..wont be long before that lonely old water reservoir for the town is gutted and stripped out...The guys know no-one is up there these days so they are just running free....

In George someone stole the 5000L water tanks which was donated after the rebuild of the old Tollhouse after it burned down. People will steal anything they don't have to work for. [emoji34][emoji36][emoji2959][emoji35]

I don't usually take road pictures when on a mountain bike ride - but in my defense, it was from a foot-bridge, it shows Devils Peak where I was heading, and the forest of shadows in the foreground was just too attractive to ignore.

Went out without a route and without a target but with a 2hr window. Y'know, like when you were in high school and just got on your bike and rode around just for the sake of riding around? Granted, I'm not nearly as badass as 15-year-old, Trek T.I.1 (which, coincidentally, was also green...) riding, Kangol-cap-wearing, wheelie-machine me.... Well, I've been keeping up with wheelie practice, so at least there's that!

Man, now that I've googled it, I loved that bike so much (not mine, but pretty much an exact replica of mine)...

Had a pretty good time, and managed to conquer this short little rocky climb with much more finesse than I did in December 2018 (last time I rode it). I'd like to think its my general fitness and skill, but might just be these wheels that give me hero-abilities off road.

Starting to warm up a bit in general, but still rather frosty in the shade and when the wind picks up.
