The Delmas road was eerily quiet on my outing this morning. Turns out a massive trench across the entire road was the cause of my bliss!

"Mountains"......

Oom bedoel heuweltjies........?

In my racing dae het ek die klim na die sateliet toring by Boomrivier geklim, in die middel tussen Upt en Groblershoop. Op die bergfiets klim ons Tierkop in Keimoes.

I remember a news article about that a while back, something about a massive sinkhole. Have wanted to go check it out.

Been making the best of the sunny winter days, and have had a couple of outings on our local trails over the last few weeks.  Mostly shorter trips with Maritz.

On Saturday I had a solo ride, nice and early in the morning .... made good use of my arm and leg warmers ...  :whistling:

After all these fun days on the trails .... Thought I would wash the bikes, and top up the tubeless Sludge ..... Once the wheel was in the "rig" - I find it much easier topping up the sludge with the wheel out of the frame - I checked the axle-bearings, cleaned the drive train, and somehow the morning flew by very quickly.  :whistling:

With a drops of rain on Monday and Tuesday I should be able to get fresh mud on the bikes shortly ...

That's the unfortunate thing about the Freestate. Need to cycle 130km to gain 800m elevation. When my parents lived there I always took my MTB with and cycled out of town on the dirt roads to the farms. Think the most elevation I got on a +-50km ride was 200m [emoji3061][emoji23] Edited by BSG
