Had half a nice ride again today. At about 3km in my pedals decided to do this.attachicon.gifIMG_20150920_161442.jpgLuckily I had a spare set in the bakkie, went back for them abd continued on our way.We started with a piece of single track just outside Rawsonville that joins up with the Stettyn dam road.Unfortunatly my brother-in-law took a OTB and landed back first on some rocks.Trying to act tough he said he was fine and we continued on towards the dam.attachicon.gifIMG_20150920_141250.jpgAbout halfway we stopped for a breether,we could see he was suffering alot and he finally decided to drop the tough guy act,so we turned around and headed home.attachicon.gifIMG_20150920_140636.jpg

Always enjoy camping at dwarsberg!  is the single track that Meaurant built still rideable?

Also my daughter is going to be at the Worcester campus next year - how would we go about finding where would be good to ride.

BTW - sorry you couln't ride Gansbaai this weekend :-)

Hi Goosebay, not sure about the singletrack you are referring to,but there are lots of what I believe to be newly built singletrack in the Rawsonville area.

I usually ride with a friend who lives in the area who shows us the trails. You could get in touch with Slanghoek Louis here on the BikeHub,he is one of the trail builders in the Rawsonville area.

Our local club,Worcester Wheelers, have some trails around Worcester aswell, but mostly jeep track with some singletrack. You can go have a look on the worcesterwheelers.co.za website to find out about access to these trails.

There is also a boat load of district road around here to ride if youre looking for distance.Drop me line when youre in the area and we could take a ride together sometime.

Not today but about a month ago.

Traveled to the USA for business and had to spend a weekend. Thought I just as well could get some riding in and rented this beauty (Niner) from a LBS. Dragged a colleague from the UK with me (rented an Ibis Ripley for him) and found a few good parks with awesome single track. Also made a stop at Lake Ontario on the day. post-51269-0-34392800-1442988788_thumb.jpgpost-51269-0-24991700-1442988800_thumb.jpg

Since we are talking about wind, I thought I'll show you this tree along the Sea Point Promenade. Riding in the Cape wind is not for sissies! (Snapped on an Atlantic coastal ride this morning.)
