Started building over my roadbike onto a new(second hand) lighter frame this morning , but hit a snag when the front derailleur wouldn't fit over.

 

So ended up heading out on my pre planned road ride with a colleague on my MTB.

Trying to hide from thefierce Cape Doctor, we avoided the open mountain, used the Liesbeeck up to Kirstenbosch and were delighted with the new single track loop that the Botanical Society built. Fantastic.

Took my bird down Canaries. Turns out it isn't a beginner trail.

I went straight into the hurt locker on the first ride on the back of my tandem. And stayed there for 2 hours. But I did get 9 PB's for the outing Kenilworth to Simon's Town.

 

Not sure I was expecting the first ride to be so hard. Not because a tandem is that hard to ride but we are accustomed to having an easy ride first up to check set-up.
