couple of serious mud-puddles   .... many riders got it wrong and went down .....  :whistling:

swear there were NO level roads ... either going up or down ..... no time to recover before the next hill.

Been suffering with my sinusses .... the ride certainly went a long way towards opening my airways .... chest is still burning from all the coughing ....

EDIT - According to Racetech I was the first in my age group .

Today i did the hardest climb that is within easy cycling range of our place, about 18km to the start of the climb which is 15.5km long and 1332 m ascent

Picture from the lake shore just before the climb starts, unfortunately the end point is obscured by cloud

Bladdy E bikes cruised past.... although i did almost catch up to them again about an hour later, they were pushing up the steepest part +/- 20% gradient, then they saw me and started riding again....anyway their ride does not count because they never went right to the top :whistling:

At the top they have placed this rock from china, there are herds of Chinese tourists who support the local tourism up there.

Very nice picture Myles. It really tells the story of how gnarly it was! Often the pictures make it look so tame, but not this one

LOL. Thanks, Dawid. This was on stage one, the "tame" stage, but the whole course was like this, almost. I wanna go back to tame the dingleberries, though! That section on stage 5 was just madness. If Harry didn't ride it... just goes to show.

Lombardi apparently made it look effortless.
