Do any brand actually have a bearable smell? Maybe feed this back to the Ass Magician. I know I always appreciate direct customer feedback whether positive or not. splat Posted September 20, 2023 Share I've never smelt Ass Magic, so cant compare. (I also don't like the idea of double dipping in a tub) R120 @ Dischem and Sportsman's Warehouse Razor1972 and Eddy Gordo
cadenceblur Posted September 20, 2023 Share while on this topic, can anyone recommend a product similar to the Assos Skin Repair gel by chance? This stuff is really brilliant, but oh so pricey at close to R500 a tube! https://www.cyclelab.com/product/4011673-suncare-assos-skin-repair-gel-75ml Edited September 20, 2023 by cadenceblur SwissVan
babse Posted September 20, 2023 Share Keep them on standby. Use as a repair for rash or sores. Used hand full of times in +10 years of riding. Don't care what it smells like as long as it's effective.

ChrisF Posted September 20, 2023 Share 3 hours ago, Pandatron said: Does everybody use chamois cream? I still havent felt the need to Like said by others, I only use it for rides longer than 3 hours. I have tried the water based stuff ... did not work for me. Squirt lube on the chain.... Squirt cream on my bumm .... 9 hour rides with no issues. Uhmm ... no ... not the same as their lube ... 😋 Just very difficult to get hold of their chamoise cream Scary Rider

In varsity we used to do self supported multi day tours, with our irks driving a bakkie with supplies. I have a mate who would use take a handvol speensalf at every lunch spot and then stick it in his pants to refresh his contact points. He never had saddle sores, but we used to have a lekker laugh at him. 4 hours ago, Razor1972 said: Really? You use Vaseline? Didn't know that would work My team mate used to swear by it. And he put really really long days on the saddle.

Murrob Posted September 20, 2023 Share I’ve become quite the Mucoff fan over the last while. Their chamois cream is amazing and smells super as well, but it’s a bit pricey, but like all things Mucoff seemingly works really well.
