Good riddance

there was a fair bit of showy off goodies being brandied about, but to me it was an interesting insight into shaving ... been using a safety razor (Minora blade type razor) and will never go back to a disposable razor again.

oh .. I only shave my face ... rest of the body hair stays.

Im a big fan of the clippers. Iv found cooler (as in temp wise) and more comfortable. Anyone claiming aero reasons etc is talking trash. Its a sign of your committment and dedication to being a cyclist.

Also I take clippers up higher. Be careful though. Reason for this: if you mow the lawn the yard looks bigger. Now you can get out the shower and have a 'tada' moment when the wife walks past. Its just better presentation boys.

hahahha

Cyclists have to be one of the most insecure, fashion sensitive communities.

My only question to the shavers is where do you stop? Those who know me know that I grow a flowy black beard in a day.

I don't have back hair or unsightly upper arm tufts, but my nethers are 100% connected to my legs, to my crack, to my garden path and faintly to my chest... Would it all have to go?!

It seems like a hell of a lot of effort for what appears to be 100% vanity

hahaha I thought I'd never do it !

I did it once in summer after bringing home ticks for the 10th time (Conties and Hoogies were really bad that summer), thought I'd give it a try. At the time I was also using kinesio tape on my knees so it made sense. I was shocked by the result, thought to myself what have I done...

Since then I don't really end up in situations where I could collect ticks anymore nor do I use kine tape, the only reason I still shave is that I can't stand the look/feel when it grows back so I remain a gay roadie.

a bit of tidying up never hurts. You can normally tell when the leg hair turns to non-leg hair. Ladies just prefer a well-trimmed lawn...

I'm married.

There are no 'ladies'.. I'm all for a trim in the right places, it also helps with chaffe while running.

But the rest of me shall remain healthily covered in hair.

My days of vanity buffness are well past. I look how I look and as long as I am functionally fit enough to run 100 miles and ride with my mates and surf big waves I am the happiest middle aged man in the world

I enjoy the process of wet shaving. A straight razor shave is very rewarding as well.

And a dangerous one..... at one stage the biggest scar on my body was a shaving cut about 7 cm long from my right ankle bone up towards my calf.... I can still feel that burn as the skin was shaved off in swipe of my razor while standing in the shower.

Shoo, sounds painful, I was referring to shaving with a soap/cream (non aerosol) and a brush though.

I did something similar when I first started shaving my legs, but at the  back of the knee up the tendon that runs towards the hamstring.

20 years later the emotional scars are still there, hence that being the hairiest part of my leg.

I first had my legs shaved by a lady "friend" about 20 years ago (what we men do for a little leg over action). But I enjoyed the feeling of having no hair. As a hairy bastard it made a big difference to feel.

A little while later I met my now wife, she enjoyed the look of my legs hairless, so I kept shaving.

If it was up to me and hair removal wasnt such a big continuous schlep I'd have no hair from the neck down. I just enjoy the feeling of not having hair on the body.
