Morning.

Any comparison between the Breville Barista Express and Kenwood Manual Espresso Machine?

Both look very similar in design and features but the Kenwood is quite cheaper.

Regards

Breville easily outclasses the Kenwood.

If price is the main issue, consider the Breville Bambino.

I am truly shocked by the amount of bean to cup coffee machines used in restaurants and coffee shops here in the Netherlands. So disappointing!

Hi all

We are looking at getting A Jura E8. What are your experience with the machine? good buy or not?

I`m no expert like our fellow Hubber`s.

But to me, the JURA E8 is a top 3 purchase of Bean-to-cup machines.

Yes everybody would like to be a barista and make beautiful coffee, but it takes skills to learn and time to prepare, a bean-to-cup for me is a winner.

On my wish list for many a year...been saving for 3 years and every year there is just something the house/wife/kids need, normally animals...our Golden Retriever Charlie`s actual name is Starbucks and the Fish Aquarium is known as Java.

See if you can demo a machine.

Enjoy your morning cuppa!

A good bean to cup for day to day is really a great balance between convenience and good coffee....

Thats my general experience of Europe tbh, not just NL, and they’ll charge you €5 with a smile. I always travel with my aeropress just for some sane coffee.

Choose your bean and brew method

Not entirely on-topic but this photo reminded me of an article I read recently which said that, because of climate change, the land available for producing arabica coffee is declining. Arabica has always been the bean of choice for coffee connoisseurs and what I'd imagine most of us drink. But more and more farmers, especially in south america, are switching to robusta (generally thought of as the poor man's alternative in the last few decades) because it is a far more hardy plant.  This isn't the article (which is behind a wall street journal paywall) but it tells the story none the less:
