I was thinking the same thing, just need to check on who is doing what. the big apartment would be ideal.

so reading between he lines...

Theres a pre CTCT bikehub house party at one of @Jewbacca's flats right?

And there will be appliances to throw out the windows right? (well a microwave at least?)

no party like a Hillbrow party!

My apartments don't do 'parties'......

The only pre CTCT party worth attending involves emptying ones bowels and a nice clean toilet!

I promised my son I would put him on the back of a tandem for this year's edition and he hasn't let me forget!

So now I need to find one to ride but not keen on buying one. Any idea where I could borrow or rent one?

The microwave has been replaced, so no need to chuck it out the window :)

plenty of places stumbling distance from the apartment if people want to party

Just glad there is no more curfew, makes driving through the night to Cape Town easier

Just shows how stupid a thing the curfew has been for quite some time now.

I don't understand how the curfew was ever accepted.
We gave up our freedom of movement, not because it posed a threat but because it made policing of activities that do pose a threat easier.

OT:

could have been worse still...we could have still been unable to buy roast chicken or underwear. who remembers that haha?

we were laughing at the absolute chitshow this and all the decisions were back in 2020 the other night lol. i guess hindsight....but hell, makes we wonder what would happen if we ever had face a real existential crisis. We'll probably literally crumble due to pure indecisiveness and lack of planning lol.  My ISP proved it in december too. the fire and the electrical outage in CT. They had no redundancy in place for when their generators eventually run out of diesel or overheated or whatever...so everything just shut down for two days while they scramble like headless chickens to sort it out.

I guess the riots also somewhat alluded to as much.

anyway....onwards and upwards i guess.

2 months to go today.

Time to warm the thread back up.

Are we getting goodie bags this year?

Is the tour going to sell out?

Goodies bags? Don't count on it.

Sell out? Good possibility.

you got a facemask and a bottle last year.

to be fair, the only two things you will probably use from that ' goodie' bag haha.

Yeah, but it wasn't an "Argus" bottle.

How will people know i did the race if i don't have a bottle to show off?
