Zona Zero Route ZZ-014 "Camporrotuno and the Treasure of Dineeretes" - This huge abandonded house  - "La Capana" - and its outbuildings, which include a Hermitage and a small Church, are beside the trail...

When I see pictures like this one I get the urge to sell everything I own, buy it and move there........resist resist resist I must! :)

:D There's a reason the camel (and not the bicycle) is nicknamed "ship of the desert" . My biggest disappointment when trying out a fat bike was that it sure as hell did not float on soft sand like i imagined it would.

Classic bike Atlantic ride with Beattbox. His Lejeune now 30 years old, my Merckx 25, and the y are still great fun to ride. Solid, comfortable, reliable.

Coming back through the Waterfront we checked out the boats getting ready for The Cape 31, Royal Cape Yacht clubs' premier regatta. A dozen identical, Cape Town designed and built racers, sailed by invitational international crews. Something to be very proud of!

Edit: See correction further down

:D Yup, you simply have to make the most of a day like today, because, just like whiskey, it doesn't last! ;)

This place really brings some perspective to one's technical riding ability. Specifically short steep ups.

Shortly after this, took a stab at the XCO track, and ended up eating some boulders on the Rock garden (forest more like it). Called it a day after that.
