BenReaper Posted November 5, 2018 Share Lekker late afternoon ride. 1541438861576.jpegLyk lekker vettie, maar het nie geweet daar is "Blairwitch bos" in die Vrystaat nie. Dog daars net koring lande en vlaktes.[emoji6] Vetseun

DJR Posted November 5, 2018 Share I also suspect that I accidently stumbled upon the lair of the Blair Witch.1541439011102.jpeg Still consider it as one of the scariest and best horror movies ever made Vetseun

NotSoBigBen Posted November 6, 2018 Share Not the ideal bike for that road but well worth it for a ride up into the Waterberg passed the Donkerpoort dam from Weesgerus. Herman V, Vetseun, BenReaper and 4 others
Wayne pudding Mol Posted November 7, 2018 Share Whites road takes you from Wilderness and connects up with the 7 passes road - it's a beautiful scenic climb and as difficult as you want to make it - nice to see the mountains in the background smokeless although there are still several pockets smoldering - it can be done on a road bike but both of my attempts at a PB ended up with punctures so I've given up  If you're a Strava slut, you only have to top Matthys Beukes' effort, apparently done on a road bike and a full 5 minutes faster than my best in only 5.5 km - that's why I pay for my Pyga and why he gets paid for riding his DJR, Escapee.., NotSoBigBen and 4 others

NotSoBigBen Posted November 8, 2018 Share My last ride here in the Waterberg ... I was told there were many gravel roads round here but nobody mentioned that there are only 2 options ... either corrugations or thick sand [emoji22]Â Helped this little critter cross the road safe and out of the midday sun CogitoErgoSum, Wayne pudding Mol, geomark and 5 others

Wayne pudding Mol Posted November 11, 2018 Share Long ride inspecting the devastation of the 7 passes. I didn't take photos of the burnt pine plantations or the family mill where 400 people have lost their livelihood. I went to the Garden Route Trail Park to refuel but it's closed. Where the trails ran through forest, charred and smoldering stumps remain. Nature will recover but this fire has done some serious damage.
