Nope, they're just stacked together

Now that is a plan !

Do you make them equal reach or is one slightly in front of the other, so the back sort of engages before the front ? (Help limit the endo's)

Such a lekker ride should not end with a couple of suspected cracked/broken ribs [emoji856] but that's the way the boerewors bends I guessf18a6b7398c74185503391e0a7d43656.jpgea9f90c290cde0a7b3161016e81153fc.jpg

Ag no, what happened, man?

High speed off after hitting a 'sleeper rock' with a pedal in a dodgy jeep track near home.

As an aside one of the negatives of using an MTB frame, with an already low BB, as a MonsterCross gravel bike is that pedal strikes are quite common sadly.

Hope it’s not as bad as you think

As a vaalie living in CT for last 15 years all i can say is that the winters here are absolute heaven .  But dont tell the up country folk  .  The air is fresh the weather is perfect and the trails are so prisitine you can taste the soil with every breath.

Had a house in Scarbs for 10 years and the best time of the year was winter. The fynbos and proteas flowering.Surings and the vygies flowering. The walk along the Cape Point fence to the sea out of this world.Maybe I should move back there....

Getting into the hang of this "work from home" thing .... Put in a few extra hours on those rainy days ....Today I was WORKING by 6:00.

13:00 I started my ride ... this was going to a be a long slow ride ..... almost 15km later the fun was about to start ....

My first time doing Bloemendaaler .... Even though it was already past 3pm, every so often there were still dew drops on the leaves .... and a good few spots where you simply see the surface was still super slippery after yesterdays rain .... All too soon it was done.

Time for the mid ride coffee at Bloemendal, before the 12km back home

During the first 25km I saw one other rider on the trails. Heading home, the trails suddenly got busy after 15:30 ...

One of the BEST rides in a long while. Perfect weather. Trails in excellent condition.

ChrisF after today's ride going into the Jonkersberg MTO plantation here close to Groot Brakrivier I really wished I had an E-Mtb like yours, I suffered big time with 13,1kms of climbing in a 47km ride. Started cramping at around 20 - 23kms and eventually phoned the better half to get the bakkie and fetch me after my tank ran empty and I had absolutely no energy left.a00cec81134fed233df577db7b7c4f4c.jpg4a7e46a135f576d1c73790cddb47a917.jpgf32a4359a5ef3076e42e39f955a0ac7a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/9ffb46626c6c051f8e15ab777af19f27.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/386dacee01d79984057eecf8380e0390.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/bd832fdf7451cf028acd19bca5368ad6.jpg Edited by BSG

Ouch .... not nice when a ride goes sideways like that .....

Had a big scare during my Tuesday ride .... knee started acting up again.  Stretches, massage, meds, and warm bean bags ....  So when I started Friday's ride I told my wife I have no idea if I will be going around the block, or if I will reach the trails .... VERY happy my knee was okay on Friday, and still doing fine.  Long slow rides are fine, but as as soon as I spend too much time in  hart rate zone 4 and 5 my knees act up for a few days.

SO GLAD to have the ebike.

I thought those sworks were like having a e-bike ????????
Posted (edited)

I have been suffering from some depression the last week.
Getting on the bike and getting out, has been incredibly difficult. Paired with some mechanical issues on the bike that I have not been able to sort properly, has made for a less than perfect cycling week (or two, I’m not sure anymore)

Seemed to have gotten my rear tyre to hold some pressure, so the missus and I went out this afternoon.

The route had some challenging climbs (for me anyways) which went great, I rode 95% of them, where the last time out (years ago according to strava) I walked 95% of them.

anyway, enough words (this is a pictures thread) so on with the drab landscape

(wow, these photos compressed really badly, will manually resize next time..)
